O1 VISA
The O-1 visa category is designed for individuals who have achieved a high level of excellence in their field of endeavor, whether it is science, art, education, business, or sports. It is also available for those who have made significant contributions to the film or TV industry and have gained national or international recognition for their work.
The O-1 visa has four subcategories, depending on the nature and purpose of the individual’s activities in the United States:
O-1A: For individuals with extraordinary ability in science, education, business, or sports (excluding the arts, film or TV industry);
O-1B: For individuals with extraordinary ability in the arts or extraordinary achievement in the film or TV industry;
O-2: For individuals who will assist an O-1A or O-1B visa holder in a specific event or performance; and
O-3: For individuals who are the spouse or children of O-1A, O-1B, or O-2 visa holders.
